I am humbled once again and overjoyed to announce that Piñata ’74 released this year as part of Record Store Day. The artwork itself is based on a series of Blaxploitation films from 1974 and sees it’s physical release for the first time as a part of this project. It will be one of several releases featuring art inspired by a variety of decades with each bearing it’s own pop culture iconography.
A special thanks to Jeff Jank for putting up with me again, BIG thanks to Lambo, Egon, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib.
The vinyl is currently out in stores now and is a limited release to be offered once and will not be repressed.
